Windows Seven - Longhorn Inspired Start Menu.

This concept shows a new kind of Start-Menu optimized to be used with fingers.

As always, comments are welcome :D

Woohoo! Finally some fresh ideas. I've been waiting ages for someone on dA to present new ways for consumers to interact with information. I'm really loving this design, although I'm struggling to take it all in.

Left to right, I see Multiple Desktops, Email Contacts, Open Apps, Touch Start Menu, Computer quicklaunch, Control Panel quicklaunch, Emails, and system clock.

I hope you'll submit any of your other ideas, and any further progress you make in this navigation field. Thank you so much for contributing!

Thanks. I designed Splinter, from the ground up, as the evolution of the desktop interface into something much more powerful. It uses a triple imagery based binary system. The world's first truly imagery based programming 'language", meaning that anyone can now create complex software outputs, easily, no longer must be a coder. In fact a novice end user can create a more dynamic and powerful desktop interface than "any" coder can, with any other software or language. That is Splinter's power.
